Bringing North Pinellas County Neighborhoods Together

 Mission of CNCN
The mission of the Council is to bring together Pinellas County's North County's neighborhoods to:

 1.Promote communication and cooperation between member organizations of Northern Pinellas County

2.To foster a sense of community

3.To provide a forum for member organizations

4.To act as a neighborhood advocate for the benefit of our member organizations

5.To bring a common voice to county government including and not limited to the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners.

 Our Current Causes
CNCN is already actively involved in:

Working with the County for alternative solutions for the much needed sports fields in North County. Fields will be located at the middle school property at the southeast corner of East Lake & Keystone, Update 06/13/08: County going out for new bids in June 2008. Construction to hopefully begin in August 2008.

The County's proposed ordinance for the protection of environmental and park lands in Brooker Creek Preserve. CNCN supports a the revised agreement presented in June 10, 2008.

We are working with the residents of Tarpon Woods with the flooding they have experienced for decades. Meeting scheduled with County for July 10th.

Working with the county on the Keystone / Tarpon Avenue widening project. Update 06/13/08: County is moving ahead with the construction beginning in August 2008. Full construction to begin in 2009.

Worked recently with CONA in St. Petersburg to defeat the changes to the toll administration of the Pinellas Bayway.

Supported CONA St. Petersburg efforts related to the newly proposed Rays Stadium in downtown St. Pete.

 

Affiliations CNCN is a non-profit Florida Corporation (501c4) organized to represent communities in Northern Pinellas County.
